021 – Sex for Souls: Consensual Flow

Do you know the concept of flow state?

Clike here if you don’t.

There’s nothing quite like those moments of flow.

In fact, there are a lot of studies trying to predict, ramp up, and accelerate people’s experiences of flow.

When writing for this blog, often I’m in flow.  When I start modeling NPV’s in excel I’m in flow.  In fact, I have a “flow outfit” I put on as almost a ritualistic reminder of flow.  (It’s a beanie, noise canceling headphones, and a sweatshirt with the hoodie pulled over everything.  Yes, I look ridiculous.  No, I wouldn’t recommend wearing it in public.  But you can’t knock the results.)

Flow is a great state.  Get in it. Often.

But there’s an extra layer of flow that I’ve experienced, and that’s when I’m with one or two others and we are all simultaneously in flow working on the same project.  Things are moving, evolving, accelerating at a pace that pushes all notions of what can be accomplished in such a short amount of time.

It is as if my whole self is fully immersed with the others.  Need for sleep, food & water seem to be forgotten.  Phone calls, tweets, texts, Facebook…who cares.  We’re making something groundbreaking, mind blowing.  And often minds are blown.  Perceptual frameworks are forced to be expanded, and your game elevates to a new level.  And so too are the others.

It is these moments of awe, ecstasy, and exhilaration that motivates me to search for others looking for the same.  And when we connect, when it happens, it’s magical.  That’s one of the goals behind: Teem Up
