Private work · Yourself
A next chapter that feels fully yours.
You may have hit every target you set, or reached the top of your sport or your art. You may have the resources to choose almost any direction. Either way, the question is no longer what you can have. It’s what’s worth giving your life to.

01 Where you might be
From the outside, it’s working.
Nothing is wrong, exactly. That’s what makes it hard to name, and harder to talk about with the people around you. These are the situations I see most often.
You won
The exit, the number, the title, and a quiet sense that it didn’t land where you expected.
You’re not burned out. You’re under-challenged by the things you used to want.
You were given a lot
Family resources, freedom, and every option, but nothing that feels earned.
You want a real challenge, real responsibility, and a direction you authored yourself.
The applause stopped
You competed, toured, or performed at the highest level. The role is ending, and the person is still here.
Retirement, injury, a last season, or a choice to step away from the spotlight.
Something opened up
A retreat, a loss, an awakening. You see differently now, and your daily life hasn’t caught up.
The insight is real. The structure to live it isn’t there yet.
02 What you might not say out loud
The private questions.
From the outside you have everything, so there’s almost no one to say these to. I hear them often. You’re not the only one.
- “I got everything I said I wanted. Why doesn’t it feel like mine?”
- “I can’t always tell who likes me, and who likes what I have.”
- “Without the game, the tour, or the deal, I don’t know what to do with a Tuesday.”
- “I’ve done the retreats. I know more than ever. My life looks exactly the same.”
- “Everyone around me has a stake in who I already am.”
- “I want to leave my kids more than money.”
None of these are problems to fix. They’re signs the next chapter has already started, and the structure of your life hasn’t caught up yet.
03 What becomes possible
The upgrade isn’t more. It’s truer.
These are the aims of the work: concrete changes in how you decide, relate, and spend your one life. When your time, energy, attention, and money all point at the life you want, you’re living it, not just planning it.
- A direction you trust without needing anyone’s permission.
- Commitments that feel like yours, and the discipline to keep them.
- Relationships you’re fully present for, starting at home.
- Time, energy, attention, and money spent on purpose.
- Spiritual experience that shows up in daily life, not only on retreat.
- Something of your own to build, steward, or give to, including a legacy your family can carry with meaning.
04 After the spotlight
When the spotlight ends, the person remains.
You spent years at the top: training, touring, recording, competing. The schedule, the team, and the crowd told you who you were. When that ends, by choice, by injury, or by time, the real question isn’t what goes on the calendar next. It’s who you are without the scoreboard.
Identity
Become someone beyond the role.
Separate who you are from what you did, without losing what made you great.
Discipline
Point your edge somewhere new.
The focus that made you elite becomes the foundation for relationships, purpose, and a new craft.
What’s next
Build something that’s yours.
A venture, a foundation, investments, or creative work. When it includes a business, I help build that too.
I’ve competed at every stage since grade school and released two albums of my own. I know the pull of the stage, and I’ve learned to build a self that doesn’t depend on it.

05 Why it hasn’t resolved on its own
Insight is cheap at this level. Structure isn’t.
You’ve read the books, done the retreats, maybe hired the coaches. What’s usually missing is a clear priority, practices that hold up under pressure, and someone who can see the whole picture (money, family, identity, and spirit) without flinching at any of it.
I come from the world of top schools and high expectations: Eagle Scout at 13, National Merit Finalist, USC Renaissance Scholar, Columbia MBA. I’ve also built companies with no budget, traveled India alone, and spent three years in weekly men’s work. I know what it’s like to have the résumé and still ask what it’s all for.
06 Private work with Clifton
Make room for who you’re becoming.
One engagement, designed around you after we speak. It may draw on identity work, intuitive exploration, relationship and nervous-system practice, and practical structures for your time, energy, attention, and money. You won’t need to learn a framework. We use what your situation calls for.
Identity
Who you are now
Separate inherited expectations from the values you actually hold today.
Integration
Connect insight to life
Translate spiritual experience and hard-won insight into everyday choices.
Life design
Structure that holds
Routines, boundaries, relationships, and commitments that support your direction.
STEP 1
See it whole
Your life as it is: responsibilities, relationships, resources, and what’s pulling at you.
STEP 2
Name the chapter
What it should hold, what it has to change, and what you won’t trade away.
STEP 3
Earn the reps
Morning and evening routines, focused work blocks, and real decisions. Daily practice is tracked in an app I built, so change is measured, not just felt.
STEP 4
Integrate
Review what changes, notice what breaks under pressure, and adjust until the new way of being holds.
How I work
Transformation isn’t the knowing. It’s the doing, until the new way of being fully installs.
I won’t hand you answers and push you to use them. An answer you aren’t ready for isn’t the answer yet. I’ll help you see clearly what you’re doing, then ask where you’d like to go from here.
When resistance shows up, we don’t force our way through it. We recalibrate until it no longer has a hold on you. That’s slower on day one, and much faster by month three.
More purpose, clarity & confidence.

07 Fit
This work asks something of you.
I take on a small number of private clients at a time, so I’m selective. The application helps us both see whether this is the right moment.
This is for you if
- You have the resources and the authority to make real changes
- You’re willing to look honestly at what’s next and act on it
- You can commit consistent time over the coming months
- You want the change, not just the outcome
- You want a thinking partner, not a guru
This isn’t for you if
- You want me to want it more than you do
- You’re looking for validation rather than change
- You want a quick fix or a guaranteed outcome
- You need therapy, medical, or crisis care. I’m glad to point you toward it.
- You’re exploring with no intention to commit this year
