G08 – So Beautiful, So Sweet, So Simple: Present Perfect

Compare and contrast, it’s what we were raised to do in school.

In History: compare and contrast the x, y, z factors of the renaissance with the industrial revolution.

In Math: compare these inequalities and select which one yields a higher value for x?

In Science: which one of these equations produces more energy?

And then when we really want to get fancy, we throw in GMAT questions like the data sufficiency questions.

Comparing and contrasting is a fundamental building block to learning

It’s also a fundamental building block for tasting:

 

As a writer, director, editor, one can create such emotion by finding the perfect type of contrast.  And that’s exactly what this documentary filmmaker found in a small community near Seattle, Washington.
