G15 – Upgrade Your Frame: Oneness at a Time

The ego is a powerful tool.  It serves to motivate, direct, and survive.

Part of its goal is to identify the differences of one thing from another.  However, a baby makes no distinction between itself and others for the first few months of its life.  What it sees it is.  Only after the visual field develops further does the baby realize itself is unique to others, it develops its ego.

This ego serves as the separator of it and the rest of the world.  You versus I.  We are different people.  Different height, weight, birth date, etc. etc.  But there’s far more we have in common than in difference.  And what we have in similarity is far more important.

It is these similarities that I ask you to pause and reflect upon, to spend more time focusing on today and in the future.  It seems as though spotting the differences is the default mode of judgement.

Perhaps we should focus more on the similarities.  I think this clip captures that essence.
