While the sense of smell is arguably the greatest at recalling memory, or at the very least an associated emotion to that memory, I’d unscientifically argue that sound does a pretty good job at recalling as well. Music from holiday times, road trips and even annoying commercial jingles trigger memories from the past.
And this Gratitude is Present Friday, I want to share with you an old-school early 2000’s song (is that considered old-school yet?).
It elicits such great memories of waking up sleepily and wearily before dawn breaks to the music coming from my then super-techy CD alarm clock while I was a lifeguard on Catalina Island for a summer.
I just grin every time I hear it.
What song brings back great memories for you?
Happy Friday!
